Production Supervisor, Wareroom

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor, Wareroom to lead and coordinate all activities within the Wareroom. This role ensures the effective flow of examined, cut, packaged, and stored glass products for internal and external customers. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator, an effective leader, and an individual who thrives in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise, direct, and coordinate all Wareroom operations to optimize production and efficiency.
- Oversee examining, cutting, packaging, and storage of finished products.
- Conduct daily team meetings to provide updates, guidance, and support to crew employees.
- Maintain strong communication with Tank, Quality Control, Maintenance, Production Control, and IT departments.
- Maintain accurate logs of shift activities including speeds, yields, throughput, and quality.
- Manage manpower scheduling, coaching, performance reviews, and support disciplinary actions when needed.
- Ensure safe work practices, compliance with operating parameters, and adherence to production and quality requirements.
- Maintain continuity of operations and act with full authority during emergencies in the absence of management.
Required Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma Required. 2 year degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, including supervisory experience.
- Skills & Abilities:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to supervise, train, and develop team members
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Knowledge of Wareroom equipment and systems affecting quality and efficiency
- Proficiency in computer systems including Microsoft applications and data entry systems
- Ability to motivate and foster creativity within a team
Working Conditions
- Position is based in a manufacturing environment.
- Overtime, weekend, and rotating shift work required.
- Must be able to work in both hot and cold environments.
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts, 4 crew rotation
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 25 lbs repetitively.
- Ability to stand, sit, bend, stoop, twist, and kneel for extended periods.
