Job Description

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and forward-thinking Sustainability specialist to contribute to initiatives focused on sustainability reporting, biodiversity and environmental management, and training within the organization. The role should enhance the sustainability performance of our BA while fostering a culture of sustainable practices. The current position is a temporary position for a 12-month period, with possibilities to extend if considered necessary. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Sustainability Management System and reporting: Lead the sustainability management systems improvement initiatives, including the reporting processes and routines.  
  • Biodiversity Strategy and Management: Play a key role in defining and implementing a biodiversity strategy and improvement of biodiversity management systems in the BA.
  • Sustainability management and risk assessments on new development projects: Support and facilitate the sustainability management and risk assessments processes on new development projects following the Statkraft requirements (e.g., CPM). 
  • Training and Learning: Promote and facilitate training and capacity building activities on sustainability management and related topics of interest across the BA.

Qualifications

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's or higher degree in environmental science, sustainability, or a related field. 
  • At least 5 years experience with sustainability management and/or reporting following best international practice and standards.
  • Digital competence, e.g. Power BI, Sharepoint, etc.
  • Experience in developing and implementing biodiversity and sustainability strategies. 
  • Excellent communication skills and experience leading training sessions. 
  • A commitment to environmental and social responsibility. 
  • Networking skills and an ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
