Senior Identity and Access Management Engineer with extensive knowledge and experience in multiple technical and administrative domains who will engage in architecture and solution development with peer IT organizations and various business partners throughout the enterprise. 

Western Digital’s Information Security organization seeks a well-rounded security practitioner with balanced technical, process, and communication skills. The area of focus will be Identity and Access Management (IAM), including various Microsoft products, multi-factor authentication (MFA), single sign-on (SSO), privileged access management (PAM), access authorization controls, cloud services access controls (SaaS & IaaS), mobile device management (MDM), and other related services. 

Broad knowledge of security principles must be combined with a practical understanding of computing systems across multiple operating systems, data storage, network controls, and fundamental infrastructure that’s typical within large global enterprises.   Because all engagements will require a close partnership with professionals across IT and relevant business functions, this position requires strong interpersonal skills along with outstanding verbal and written communication skills.

This hybrid position is in Irvine, California, with two days a week in the office.                                                      

    Qualifications

    Required

    • 5+ years of Information Security experience and 10+ years of technology experience
    • Advanced knowledge of the following.
      • MS Active Directory, both on-prem and cloud/Azure, including all facets of authentication and authorization
      • Security controls for MS Office-365 collaboration products
      • Multi-factor authentication (MFA) infrastructure and services, preferably Duo
      • Single Sign-On (SSO) technologies and services, preferably Azure AD FS
      • Access and security controls for cloud infrastructure (IaaS)
      • Mobile device management (MDM), preferably Microsoft Intune
      • Privileged Access Management, preferably CyberArk
      • Certificate management, including Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) services and experience with HSM appliances and services
    • Strong knowledge of security principles in all areas of IT infrastructure and workflows
    • Proven ability to conduct security assessments of internal and external solutions
    • Proven ability to author consumable reports of security findings
    • Excellent interpersonal and professional relationship skills
    • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
    • Advanced education in technology, such as Computer Science or Information Security

    Also desired

    • Ability to author or update code used for automation (e.g. PowerShell, API, RPA, etc.)
    • Fundamental knowledge of VMware infrastructure virtualization and security
    • Strong knowledge of computer, device, and IoT operating systems
    • Understanding of infrastructure hardening requirements and implementation
