Manufacturing Engineers learn production operations and manufacturing discipline in a controlled environment.  They develop manufacturing engineering skills, an understanding of manufacturing (cost, quality, safety and schedule), and Raytheon systems and tools.  MEs build technical depth in manufacturing processes and are accountable for improvement and optimization.

What You Will Do

  • Design, control, and improve the manufacturing process through collaboration with a multi-disciplined team

  • Improve cycle time and lead time

  • Implement manufacturing process control and performance monitoring

  • Create and oversee improvement projects

  • Translate engineering design requirements into manufacturing processes

  • Perform hardware defect analysis

  • Participate in corrective action investigations

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically Requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and minimum 5 years of relevant experience

  • Experience interpreting and improving technical drawings

  • Experience communicating technical information to different audiences

  • Experience with technical writing

  • Experience with MRP systems

  • Experience teaching, training and/or mentoring manufacturing systems to junior engineers

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Preferred degrees: Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering.

  • Ability to identify, reduce and eliminate cost, quality and schedule constraints through technical engagements

  • Understand and utilize factory and program performance data

  • Lean manufacturing skills and understanding of factory layout/flow, continuous improvement process, and value stream analysis

  • Participate with program and/or LT teams to provide perspective for successful program planning, organization and execution

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
