Job Summary:

Performs various food service tasks, including food preparation, serving, and transportation. Provides excellent customer service and may operate a cash register.

Education & Experience:
  • Required: High school enrollment, diploma, or GED
  • Preferred: Food service or customer service experience
Licensure & Certification:
  • Not required
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Ensures food quality, recipe compliance, and adherence to guidelines.
  2. Meets productivity and service start-time schedules.
  3. Minimizes waste and follows portion control guidelines.
  4. Properly maintains and uses kitchen equipment and supplies.
  5. Provides excellent customer service and meets quality standards.
  6. Maintains high sanitation standards and follows safety regulations.
  7. Completes all required training, including compliance and safety courses.
  8. Participates in performance improvement initiatives and teamwork efforts.
  9. Safely delivers, serves, and retrieves food trays while following regulations.
  10. Interacts professionally with patients, visitors, and staff, resolving concerns as needed.
  11. Follows hospital policies and contributes to a positive work environment.
Skills & Qualifications:
  • Ability to follow instructions and adjust to department needs
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Comfortable interacting with patients in their rooms
  • Available to work weekends and holidays
  • Effective communication with patients, visitors, and staff
Work Environment:
  • Work in kitchen and retail areas
  • Exposure to wet floors and sharp equipment
Physical Requirements:
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching
  • Lifting/pushing up to 50 lbs.
