Title: Opto-Mechanical Engineer
Duration: 1 year with possible extension 
Location: Onsite Redmond, WA
Benefits: Employee benefits at 100% including Medical, PTO, Holiday Pay, 401K Plan, and much more!
Hours: Minimum 40 Hours/Week 

Role:
- Design opto-mechanical fixtures or equipment in Siemens NX, collaborating with XFN partners using Siemens Team Center, and principles to achieve.
- Create 2D prints using GD&T and kinematic mounting principles.
- Apply rigorous engineering and tolerance techniques to high-precision design requirements in areas such as Optics, Mechanics, and Motion Control.
- Review and generating 1D tolerance stacks in excel; review of 3D tolerance stacks.
- Apply knowledge of manufacturing techniques (Machining, 3D printing, injection molding, etc.)
- Apply knowledge of GD&T techniques and associated metrology approaches.
- Testing and analysis with tools such as FEA, Simulation, Zemax, Ray Tracing, etc.
- Operating in a fast-paced consumer electronics product development and manufacturing environment.
- Development of testing using mechanical and optics metrology devices such as CMM, OMM, and interferometry.

Skills:
- 2+ years’ experience working on ME designs in optics, mechanism, or mechatronics designs.
- Model and generate drawings in Siemens NX and Siemens Team Center.
- Ability to read and create GD&T drawings
- Ability to create and review kinematic mounting systems
- Experience in manufacturing techniques such as Machining, 3D printing, injection molding, etc.
- Generating 1D tolerance stacks (Understanding 3D)
- Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Team player and detail-oriented.
- Displays attributes of a critical thinker and leverages innovative ideas.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback.

Education: BS in mechanical engineering, Optics, or equivalent experience.

Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Range $70/hr - $80/hr.
