We are currently seeking a Consumable and Spare Parts Coordinator for our site in Charleston, TN.

 

What you will do:

The Consumable and Spare Parts Coordinator will be responsible for processes related to planning, scheduling, receipt, stocking, and accurate reporting of site operating supplies & consumables, all while ensuring safety and safe work compliance. The role provides status details for internal customers and maintains storage and accuracy of goods in on-site storage areas and in satellite warehouse locations. It involves tracking inbound domestic and international deliveries and requires knowledge of all aspects pertaining to the receipt, storage, and delivery of all goods and shipments handled by the Supply Chain Department. The position also scans and captures all documents relating to operating supplies, spare parts, and consumables activities into all appropriate databases including but not limited to SAP, and controls plant material flows in cooperation with other departments.

 

• Provide daily operational support to both internal customers and external vendors. 
• Meet Customer requirements by coordinating and processing on-time shipments/ deliveries as appropriate. Maintain inventory readiness utilizing FIFO, shelf life, and obsolescence procedures.
• Responsible for contributing to the successful and timely closing of customer delivery complaints as they arise.   
• Perform Daily inventory accuracy/readiness in all production areas through cycle counts/ physical inventory to promote correct quantities and stock levels that will allow proper forecasting/ consumption initiatives to ensure that internal customer requirements are met in a timely manner.
• Perform the necessary and timely SAP classifications and adjustments to reflect accuracy and maintain required documentation and processes.
• Provide communication and solutions for stakeholders concerning inspection of goods/ pre-clearance, clearance, and held shipments.
• Verify and correct obscure or missed details for all Supply Chain documentation and activities (ex: order number, recipient, unloading point). 
• Identify operational service deficiencies and cost savings opportunities.
• Drive process improvement for individual and team performance, with the goal of streamlining workflows and providing excellent customer service.
• Willingness to support and participate in cross-functional projects and continuous improvement activities (ex: Lean/ Continuous Improvement (CI) Workshop involvement) as necessary. <
