Job Summary

The Vice President and General Manager, Medical Equipment will lead a global commercial team that is responsible for supporting, developing, and managing strategic account activities to grow the Flex Health Solutions’ business in the medical equipment space.  This individual will be responsible for participating in the formation of segment and strategic plans, utilizing their knowledge and experience to grow and create new business as well as sustain current accounts. Effective communications and strategic engagement with customers at all levels is necessary to be able to understand their business and develop a plan on how Flex can add value towards their business objectives. 

Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do:

  • Responsible for managing a global commercial account team to develop new strategic alliances with key customers to provide end to end solutions that results in an increase in share of wallet.
  • Analyze and understand our customer’s business strategy, future product plans, and expansion activities and align Flex’s resources where mutually beneficial.
  • Define commercial priorities for medical equipment through a broad and far vision of market and technology needs that will strengthen Flex’s market penetration.
  • Develop and execute sales discipline and strategies to drive market penetration and expansion. 
  • Define business priorities through a broad and far vision to include initiating and directing business development activities that will strengthen, expand, and drive market penetration.
  • Set, manage, and drive key activities to meet business objectives for medical equipment pipeline, sales targets, financial results, and customer satisfaction
  • Accountable to manage the P&L and key financial metrics (Profitability, Inventory, Costs, Cash, ROIC, AR, etc.).
  • Provide leadership on current accounts in the development and execution of product roadmaps and act as a focal point in delivering Flex’s solutions which include concept development, industrial design, manufacturing, supply chain/logistics, services support and reverse logistics.
  • Drive, collaborate, and steer business development activities to win new and replacement business to achieve growth targets.
  • Effectively brief and leverage senior executives on strategy and tactics to create and enhance customer proposals and consummate deals.
  • Successfully negotiate difficult and/or critical business matters in collaborative fashion with senior executives both internally and externally.

Here is some of what you’ll need:

  • 10+ years of experience in business development & account management, in the medical equipment space.
  • Ability to understand customer needs and utilize Flex capabilities to create a winning value proposition
  • Expertise in creating comprehensive customer account plans, account-based marketing, sales processes and complex proposals in the Healthcare/ Medical industry.
  • Related experience with marketing, commercial, operational, and financial management
  • Proactively provide direction to a Cross functional team to meet customer expectations and deliver financial results within the medical industry.
  • Demonstrates detailed expertise in very complex functional/technical areas within Healthcare by leveraging a functional knowledge across multiple business elements with the ability to understands the strategic impact of each in the proposed customer solution
  • 40-50% travel
  • Medical Equipment market / product experience

Pay Range (Applicable to US Remote). Due to this role being remote, the actual pay range will vary depending on the geographical location of the candidate
