POSITION SUMMARY:
This position will coordinate and manage projects and activities within the department as directed by the Department Managers. Basic responsibilities include planning, scheduling, and coordinating project activities. This position will participate in cross-functional and departmental projects as assigned by their Department Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manages the development and implementation process of a project involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing processes.
- Organizes project activities that may require interdepartmental meetings and communication ensuring completion of the program/project on schedule and within budget constraints.
- Monitors the program/project from initiation through delivery, interfacing with “internal customer” or department personnel.
- Responsibilities may include limited external customer interactions.
- This position has overall project management responsibility. In this role, direct people management responsibility is not typically required.
- Assigns and monitors work of technical and non-technical personnel, providing support and interpretation of instructions/objectives.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Location: Fort Collins, CO
- Environment: Works in standard office environment using general office equipment, as well as a noisy fast-paced lab.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to present ideas in a clear and persuasive manner, both orally and in writing.
- Capability to respond quickly, decisively, assertively, and professionally to changing requirements in demand, product description, and material demand.
- Ability to collaborate and involve others in decision-making and problem solving.
- Ability to organize, schedule, coordinate, and negotiate effectively and to set priorities in a manner which ensures maximum performance and goal accomplishment.
- Good understanding of SAP and the ability to apply to manufacturing processes.
- Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of demand-based manufacturing systems.
- Excellent PC skills, including Excel, Word, MS Standard Office. Project and AutoCAD a Plus.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work with several projects simultaneously.
- Ability to motivate others in a team environment.
- Ability to manage to a timeline and a budget.
EXPERIENCE:
- Experience in a high mix/low volume, pull-based manufacturing environment.
