The primary purpose is to recruit prospective students through management of an assigned market recruitment area. Recruitment responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: high school visits, career fairs, community presentations, special events, and assisting in other outreach activities as assigned. The Regional Admissions Counselor will reside in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area, with occasional travel to the campus for trainings and events as needed. Extensive day-time travel within the assigned territory is required.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree plus one year of professional experience in a related field or two years of professional experience or an equivalent combination of post-secondary training, education and/or professional experience.
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills
- Public presentation skills
- Valid driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior full-time or undergraduate work study experience in a university admissions office.
- Prior experience working remotely
- Familiar with Twin Cities Metro area, specifically the high schools and Community Based Organizations in that area.
- Experience of working with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool, Slate, or other sales-related software.
- Knowledge of higher education and experience working with prospective college students.
