JOB SUMMARY
The Moving Attendant is responsible for assisting with the safe movement, setup, and arrangement of furniture, equipment, and office materials. This role also supports basic installation tasks such as hanging pictures, whiteboards, and other wall-mounted items. The Moving Attendant works independently and as part of a team to support office relocations, space reconfigurations, and general facility's needs within the department of internal medicine.

    Minimum 8th grade education and no experience required

    (DRIVERS) DRIVERS LICENSE Valid State of Texas driver's license Upon Hire

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

  • Move, load, unload, and transport furniture, equipment, and supplies between offices and buildings.
  • Hang pictures, whiteboards, bulletin boards, shelving, and similar items using appropriate tools and hardware.
  • Ensure items are moved and installed safely to prevent damage to property or injury.
  • Follow proper lifting techniques and safety procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area during and after moves. 

     

  • Report damaged items, safety concerns, or needed repairs to the supervisor.
  • Provide courteous and professional customer service to staff and faculty
    Assists in department and office relocation by moving and setting up furniture, office supplies, and equipment.
  • Assembles and disassembles office furniture and lab equipment.
  • Sets-up rooms for events by moving chairs and furniture as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
