Job Description
As a Warehouse Supervisor you will oversee daily management of the people, processes and tools needed for warehousing products and initiate and facilitate area business and process improvements in support business targets.
- Initiate and facilitate area business and process improvements in support business targets
- Analyze department workload and schedule requirements to develop execution plans, including manning and support personnel requirements and resource planning
- Communicate objectives, status and other issues as necessary, i.e. regular scheduled team meeting
- Support/implement performance management system including identification and achievement of goals
- Ethically protect company resources and best interest
- Establish safety procedures to assure a clean safe work environment is promoted and maintained
- Manage resources in support of safety, quality, delivery, engagement, and cost
- Develop, maintain, and improve positive employee relations
- Coach and develop an entry-level workforce that has a primary focus of assembly and packaging
Maximize the utilization of warehouse resources while ensuring the expected level of customer satisfaction is met or exceeded.
Qualifications
Required Education and/or Experience should be one of the following:
- 4-year Degree PLUS 2 years of leadership experience
- 2-year Degree PLUS 5 or more years of leadership experience
- 10+ years of leadership experience without a degree
Skills & Qualifications should include:
- Experience with warehouse and distribution processes
- Have experience with Continuous Improvement tools & methods (preferred)
- Must be proficient in Microsoft applications
- Experience with SAP preferred
- Must have understanding of project management
- Ability to give presentations (formal and informal to both direct labor and executives)
