We are looking for a business-oriented and proactive Legal Counsel to join our growing legal team in a fast-scaling tech company. In this role, you will work closely with colleagues across different departments, providing hands-on legal support for sales, marketing, HR, finance, compliance, and privacy matters.
Your mission is to ensure legal security while enabling business growth, and helping to navigate complex regulations, contract negotiations, and internal governance.
About the role
Manage contract templates (draft, update, and implement processes for effective use).
Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of complex agreements.
Support the sales team in contract negotiations, risk assessment, and strategic decision-making.
Assist the finance team with contract-related debt recovery and risk mitigation.
Oversee compliance, privacy, and regulatory matters, ensuring adherence to applicable laws.
Monitor new regulations and proactively update internal policies and business practices.
Support HR and internal governance, contributing to policies, employment-related legal matters, and training.
Provide quick, practical, and commercially focused legal advice to all teams.
Act as a trusted business partner for different teams, ensuring legal and compliance needs are met.
Draft internal policies and guidelines tailored to different departments.
Develop training materials and workshops on key legal, compliance, and privacy topics.
About You
Law degree and at least 3 years of experience as an in-house legal counsel.
Proven ability to review, draft, and negotiate contracts in English, ideally in a digital/tech environment.
Experience in contract management, compliance, and privacy matters.
Strong problem-solving skills: You combine legal expertise with a business mindset to find practical solutions.
Excellent analytical skills: You love diving into regulations, anticipating risks, and identifying strategic opportunities.
Proactive and hands-on: You take ownership, prioritize effectively, and get things done.
Empathetic and collaborative: You understand business needs and work as a partner to enable growth.
Fluency in English is a must.
Hands-on: You take initiative, you are not afraid to do it yourself based on priorities and results.
Nice-to-have
Experience working with U.S. law or international legal frameworks.
Previous experience in a scale-up or tech environment.
Comfort working in a global, multicultural setting.
