Job Description
You will be successfully managing the delivery of Version 1’s Oracle Cloud ERP/HCM/EPM projects, working with the customer to confirm scope and goals, objectives and business justification and secure resources (people and budget).
In addition:
- You will be the key interface to our clients, helping them navigate the challenges and risks that are part of all transformative projects.
- You will be a leader on our projects and will be expected to manage the Version 1 team, ensuring that resources are working to the agreed plan, delivering the outcomes required of them, on time and to the excellent standard we promise our clients.
- You will understand and manage the project scope and work with the customer to identify and agree Change Requests when a change to scope is needed.
- You will be able to create well thought out, achievable project plans underpinned by Version 1’s MAXIMISE project methodology, ensuring that internal teams have clarity on their responsibilities, tasks and deliverables.
- You will control and report progress to the Steering Group/Sponsor, and internally within Version 1 senior stakeholders, ensuring that risks and issues are escalated appropriately.
- You will continually recognise, assess and monitor risks and issues, and work with client counterparts to mitigate them.
- You will clearly understand the dependencies on, and responsibilities of, external parties such as clients or 3rd party software providers, developing a plan to manage and report on them.
- You will be able motivate both internal and client terms to work at pace, overcome obstacles and meet challenging deadlines.
- You will play a key role in communication, ensuring that internal and client teams understand the big picture and the part they play in it.
- You will closely monitor and report on project budget, taking ownership for the P&L targets for your project.
- You will travel to customer sites as required and permitted
- You will assist in pre-sales and business development opportunities.
Qualifications
You will have experience of:
- Leading, overseeing, and driving forward Oracle Cloud and/or Oracle E-Business Suite projects within ERP/HCM/EPM.
- An in-depth background within programme/project management methods including MSP and PRINCE2
- Fixed price/budget, commercial and customer experience
- Governance (Gate Control, Status Reporting)
- Scope management expertise
- Stakeholder management, negotiation and communication skills (written/verbal) across all levels.
