Position Overview

The Illinois Department of Corrections (“IDOC”) is looking for a detailed oriented person to serve as an administrative support team member with the administrative Directive Standards Unit. This person will serve as a liaison for Facilities, administrative and Executive Staff, Statewide and National Accreditation processes. Additionally, this position will be charged with resolving issues, providing guidance, and gathering and tracking information related to compliance reviews. Essential Functions

  • Organizes, plans, executes, controls, and evaluates the department’s Internal and Administrative Directives Standards Review Process.
  • Coordinates, in conjunction with Staff Development and Training, a program to train department staff.
  • Evaluates review procedures and ensures effective reporting protocols are adhered to.
  • Receives all Administrative Directives Standards Review files for the Central Office.
  • Maintains a list of all staff approved to conduct Administrative Directives Standards Review.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
