About the role

The Dual Rate Guest Room Attendant (primary position) will be responsible for ensuring clean and orderly guest rooms while providing top quality customer service. The Dual Rate Housekeeping Floor Supervisor (secondary position) oversees and assists with daily responsibilities of the Housekeeping front line personnel for the hotel. All duties are to be performed within the guidelines of the Seneca Gaming Corporation’s policies and procedures, Internal Control Standards and objectives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.    Service guest rooms using cleaning agents and equipment to ensure adherence to departmental policies.
2.    Remove, inventory, and replace soiled linens and prepare rooms for guest arrivals.
3.    Organize and/or replenish guestroom amenities.
4.    Maintain a clean and orderly cart with adequate supplies.
5.    Assist other departmental personnel as needed.
6.    Promote a positive public/employee relation at all times.
7.    Maintain a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility.
8.    Maintain a current understanding of all policy and guidelines regarding information security including the Seneca Gaming Corporation Acceptable Use Policy.  Understand and comply with all information security policies and procedures at all times.
9.    Provide exceptional customer service to all patrons and communicate in a pleasant, friendly and professional manner at all times.  Maintain a professional work environment with supervisors, managers and staff.
10.    Meet the attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to regulatory, departmental and company policies.
11.    Must complete all required SGC Training programs within nine (9) months from commencement of employment.
12.    Attend all necessary meetings.
13.    Duties, responsibilities, requirements and expectations pertaining to this job are subject to change as needed.  Hours are determined by a 24-hour schedule.

ADDITIONAL SECONDARY POSITION DUTIES:
1.    Supervise assigned area to ensure guest rooms are serviced in accordance with established policies and standards.
2.    Monitor and report on guest room status, stock levels and problem situations within hotel.
3.    Regularly perform inspections of guest rooms and common/public areas within the hotel to ensure quality control.
4.    Coordinate distribution and collection of keys, beepers, and other equipment for the assigned area.
5.    Assist in hiring and evaluating employees.  Administers established training programs.
6.    Adhere to Purchasing, HR, and TERO compliance requirements.
7.    Ensure top quality guest service.
8.    Perform work of subordinates as needed.
9.    Promote positive public/employee relations at all times.
10.    Maintain a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility.
11.    Participate as a panel member on SGC's Board of Review as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS: 

Education/Experience:
1.    Must be 18 years of age or older upon employment.
2.    High school diploma or equivalent required.
3.    At least two (2) years of Hotel Housekeeping or related experience preferred.
4.    Must possess basic mathematical skills necessary for conducting inventories and counting linens.

Language Skills and Reasoning Ability:
1.    Must possess excellent communication skills to deal effectively with customers and employees.
2.    Ability to write routine correspondence and to speak effectively to the public, employees and customers.
3.    Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
4.    Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
5.    Possess proven leadership ability to provide general guidelines to subordinate personnel and direction toward short-term developmental goals.
6.    Must perform duties while utilizing discretion and respecting the privacy of guests.
