Summary
The Coordinator of Graduate Admissions & Systems Integration is a multi-faceted role that requires expertise in both information systems and admissions. The Coordinator of Graduate Admissions & Systems Integration will contribute to data management, data analysis, reporting, and systems integrations; establish, grow, and manage recruitment, admissions, and yielding efforts for graduate students from Africa; and serve as a backup to staff who specialize in domestic graduate student recruitment, admissions, and yielding. The Coordinator of Graduate Admissions & Systems Integration will report to both the Associate Director of Graduate Admissions and the Director of Systems, Data & Analytics.
Primary Responsibilities
- Systems: Work collaboratively with the Systems, Data & Analytics team on a variety of systems tasks including executing tasks related to semesterly cycle prep, including updating queries, reports, and communications; maintaining up-to-date and accurate Slate populations and message groups; leading ongoing efforts to improve Slate portals for applicants and admitted students; and assisting with activities related to the integration between Slate CRM and Workday SIS, including discrepancy reporting.
- Data & Analytics: Create reports using SQL queries and views; review data quality reports; contribute to data cleanup efforts; assist with the development of forecasting models using existing tools including machine learning and deep learning; collaborate with staff, and work with professional staff to address outstanding data analysis and visualization needs.
- Reporting: Support the maintenance of reports and queries regarding inquiries, prospects, conversions, applications, admissions, and enrollments. Examine findings, draw conclusions, and determine the best way to visually, clearly, and concisely present ad-hoc data requests. Assist with developing PowerBI dashboards to support operational activities including recruitment, admissions, yielding, and enrollment management efforts.
- Recruitment & Admissions: Work with the the Director of Graduate Admissions to develop and execute a comprehensive recruitment, admissions, and yielding strategy for students from Africa. This will include coordinating and leading recruitment and relationship-building trips throughout Africa; hosting online and in-person recruitment events; and serving as the primary point of contact for students from Africa throughout the application and admissions process.
- Enrollment Management: Lead efforts to engage with admitted students through SMS, calling, and email campaigns; yielding events; and social media. Work collaboratively with Graduate Academics & Student Success; Graduate Student Life; International Student and Scholar Services; the Office of Financial Aid, and the Office of Student Accounts to ensure that admitted students receive timely, accurate information about network access, advisor assignments, course selection, course registration, financial aid, and more.
- Other: Maintain an understanding of trends and current events impacting graduate student enrollments. Understand and act in accordance with relevant policies and procedures. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Advanced proficiency with PowerBI and Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio.
- Working knowledge of Python and/or HTML, and/or JavaScript is preferred.
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience working in admissions at a university.
- Able and willing to work early mornings, evenings and weekends as needed.
- Able and willing to travel for recruitment, including overnight travel both domestically and internationally.
- Superior organizational skills and ability to prioritize projects and manage multiple deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to establish and maintain productive working relationships with faculty and staff colleagues.
- Ability to professionally represent the University to a variety of constituents.
- Ability to connect quickly and meaningfully with prospective students.
