Job Summary:

The Associate Cybersecurity Analyst will be responsible for participating in and ensuring the maintenance of the daily operational duties of the Security Operations Center (SOC). The Associate Cybersecurity Analyst conducts daily operational tasks that may consist of firewall rule evaluation and modification, network communication troubleshooting, phish response, or minor network device scanning. The primary duty for the Associate Cybersecurity Analyst on this shift is to maintain medical center systems access and troubleshoot and assist end users with access issues including multi factor authentication issues. The Associate Cybersecurity Analyst troubleshoots and resolves complex security issues, implements small and medium technology projects or components of large projects, and can solve medium to complex problems.

Note: This role has a shift schedule of Monday through Friday (3pm – 12am)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

•              User level access control and troubleshooting.

•              User level MFA troubleshooting.

•              Firewall policy evaluation.                        

•              Troubleshooting complex network security issues.                           

•              Alert triaging and data gathering for computer investigations.                    

•              Phish response.

TECHNICAL CAPABILITIES

• Customer Service (Fundamental Awareness): Has light experience, training, direct exposure, or past experience with customer service tasks. Can translate and communicate complex technical knowledge to the average user.

• MFA Troubleshooting (Fundamental Awareness): Has training or light experience in supporting and assisting users with mobile devices and multi factor authentication applications.

• Firewalling (Fundamental Awareness): Has light experience, training, direct exposure, or past experience working with security policy modification.

• Alert Triage (Fundamental Awareness): Has light experience, training, direct exposure, or past experience with triaging of system alerts.

• Phish Response (Fundamental Awareness): Has light experience, training, direct exposure, or past experience with Microsoft Outlook.
