Broadridge is Growing! We are seeking a seasoned Business Analyst, Securities Industries Services (SIS) to join our Architecture & Innovation Team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the securities industry, strong analytical skills, and a proven ability to bridge the gap between business requirements and technical solutions.

Work-Mode: This is a remote role where you will work off-site. Travel is limited and generally used for team learning and collaboration meetings.  

Key Responsibilities:

Requirement Gathering and Analysis:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, document, and analyze business requirements for securities services projects.
  • Conduct detailed analysis of business processes, workflows, and systems to identify areas for improvement.
  • Translate business needs into clear and concise functional specifications and requirements.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify and propose process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service delivery.
  • Develop and document new processes and workflows, ensuring they align with industry best practices.
  • Work with stakeholders to implement and monitor process changes.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact between business units and development teams.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration among stakeholders to ensure alignment and understanding of project goals.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and address any concerns or issues that arise.

Solution Design and Validation:

  • Work closely with technical teams to design solutions that meet business requirements and align with overall business strategy.
  • Participate in the development and testing of new systems, applications, and features.
  • Validate solutions through user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensure they meet the defined requirements.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Create comprehensive documentation, including business requirements, functional specifications, process maps, and user guides.
  • Develop and deliver regular reports on project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders.
  • Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and accessible to relevant parties.

Training and Support:

  • Develop training materials and conduct training sessions for end-users on new systems and processes.
  • Provide ongoing support to business units and end-users, addressing any questions or issues that arise.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for securities services systems and processes.

Qualifications:

Industry Knowledge:

  • In-depth understanding of the securities industry, including trading, settlement, custody, and regulatory requirements.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and protocols such as FIX, SWIFT, and ISO 20022.

Analytical Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex business requirements.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and modeling techniques.

Technical Proficiency:

  • Experience with business analysis tools and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
  • Basic understanding of database concepts and SQL is a plus.

Communication and Collaboration:

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications such as CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) or PMI-PBA (Professional in Business Analysis) are a plus.
