Job Statement/ Summary:
The Wrestling Director of Operations is responsible for the strategic and logistical coordination of all non-coaching aspects of the wrestling program. This role ensures the smooth execution of daily operations, compliance with institutional and NAIA regulations, and supports the holistic development of student-athletes through administrative excellence and resource management.

Essential Functions and responsibilities:
1. Team Logistics & Travel

  • Ensure smooth execution of travel plans during competition season.
  • Coordinate all aspects of team travel: transportation, lodging, meals, and itineraries.

2. Budget & Financial Oversight

  • Manage the program’s operating budget.
  • Track expenditures and ensure compliance with university financial policies.

3. Event Coordination

  • Plan and execute home dual meets, fundraising events, and postseason celebrations.
  • Liaise with venue staff and external vendors for event logistics.

4. Recruiting Support

  • Assist with official visits, including travel, lodging, and scheduling.
  • Maintain recruiting records and ensure NAIA compliance.

5. Student-Athlete Support

  • Hold regular meetings with athletes to discuss academic progress, goals, and challenges.
  • Serve as a resource for personal development and wellness initiatives.

6. Staff Supervision

  • Oversee team managers, interns, and work-study students.
  • Delegate tasks and ensure accountability across support roles.

Knowledge, Skill and Abilities

This is a part time 6-month position reporting to the Head Coach and Athletic Director. The Assistant Coach must have a strong commitment to Athletics and exceptional independent judgment, problem solving, planning skills, and the ability to effectively motivate student-athletes. The Assistant Coach must have the knowledge to teach the sport and the ability to recruit. The Assistant Coach must display professionalism in all aspects of the position.

Experiences
1-3 years of management experience

Education
Bachelors degree preferred

Physical requirements
Walking and standing for up to 10 min
