Purpose of Role

 

The Sr. District Manager, Brand House is a key role in the Retail Leadership team, helping to influence and craft our retail strategies. Sr. District Managers are responsible for driving the profitability of the districts they lead. This role works to meet sales targets and control operational expenses.  As leader, this role coaches District Managers and Store Managers in the allocation of resources and inspires teammates to achieve commercial goals.  They build Brand equity during store visits, both in person and virtually.  Sr. District Managers demonstrate the behaviors and coach to our four leadership competencies:  Inspire Purpose, Lead People, Enhance Process and Drive Performance.

Your Impact

 

Talent Leadership

  • Support New Store Opening; recruitment, on-boarding plans, training plans & load-in support.
  • Partner with Store Managers / Talent DOR to recruit, hire, develop and retain high performing store leadership teams by considering seasonal hiring and turnover, networking opportunities.
  • Engage in compensation decisions in partnership with the HR & Compensation partners.

 

Retail Operations

  • Achieve forecasted Sales & Contribution Margin 
  • Establish and execute a comprehensive omni-channel strategic plan to achieve planned sales and KPIs.
  • Analyze reporting and daily sales trends to make real-time strategic and tactical business decisions to drive results.
  • Drive financial performance through consumer service, human resources, inventory control and store appearance.
  • Maintain compliance with UA policies, risk control and asset protection across district.
  • Leverage regional resources for operation of business service.
  • Has insight into future needs to provide input on budget modifications.
  • Develop contingency plans for obstacles and navigate through organizational ambiguity.
  • Collaborate with leadership across entire organization to achieve objectives and goals.

 

Brand Image & Customer Experience

  • Model the Brand’s Athlete service standards and selling behaviors for Brand House store formats.
  • Build loyalty through in-store experience, data capture, endless aisle, and other omni-channel solutions.
  • Accountable for Service Culture, Customer Service, People, Product & Operations

  • Motivate and inspire team by communicating Under Armour’s Values, Core Competencies, and functional behaviors.
  • Articulates growth vision and empowers teammates to provide input, ownership, and visibility within their district.
  • Communicate expectations for brand, performance, and behavior standards.
  • Establish strong working relationships with peers and cross functional partners.  Leverage these relationships to ensure effective collaboration in the execution of business strategies.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership presence and point of view to communicate and influence Brand House strategy to senior leadership.
  • Serve as leader among District Manager peers on field projects and initiatives.
  • Oversees District and Store Managers, provides performance feedback to teammates, and provides insight on business strategy. 
  • Mentors and provides ongoing training and development of direct reports.
  • Evaluate sales and payroll goals using payroll reports and tools; make scheduling adjustments as needed.
  • Recognize and resolve teammate performance issues in partnership with the Store Managers
  • Drive teammate engagement by recognizing and rewarding performance and, providing feedback and/or action planning on substand
