Job Summary

Performs supervisory and administrative work in planning, organizing and directing the Utility Division Department. Responsibilities include assuring proper operation of the water treatment plant, distribution, storage, and the proper operation of wastewater collection systems.


Pay Rate

The hourly range is from $39.11 to $44.53 depending on experience, plus full benefits.

Requirements

  • Must possess a valid Colorado driver’s license.
  • Must complete ICS 100, ICS 200 and ICS 700 within the first year of employment.
  • Valid Class B CDL with tanker endorsement.
  • Possession of a Colorado Operator’s B Water license.
  • Possession of a Colorado Distribution Class ll License
  • Possession of a Wastewater Collection Class ll License              
  • Current flagging certification.
  • Willingness to take and successfully complete a First Aid class, CPR class, and other specialized or safety training that may be offered by the Public Works Department or other training organizations such as AWWA or Colorado Rural Water.  


Qualifications/Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field and three (3) years’ experience in water treatment and operations and wastewater collection systems, or
  • Specialized training in water treatment and wastewater collection systems and five (5) years’ experience with comparable sized water and wastewater systems. At least three (3) years in a supervisory position.
  • Any equivalent combination of education and experience.
