Dealer Trade Driver

SUMMARY

Delivers and picks up automobiles for the dealership.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Essential Duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Picks up and delivers automobiles to customers, satellite stores, and other dealerships.
• Checks with the sales managers before leaving to coordinate any last minute pick-ups or deliveries.
• Verifies that VIN matches title for each pick-up and delivery.
• Checks payments with the invoices for each delivery.
• Keeps an accurate log of daily deliveries and pick-ups. Requests recipient's signature on each delivery entry.
• Turns in all paperwork to accounting office.
• Handles filling tank with gas as needed.
• Communicates with other drivers as needed for two-person runs.
• Assists the dealership as needed for Shuttle Driver and Intercompany Driver fill in.
• Maintains professional appearance.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

No prior experience or training.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
