POSITION TITLE: SUD TREATMENT PROGRAM ASSOCIATE MENTAL HEALTH CLINICIAN

POSITION PURPOSE: The Associate Mental Health Clinician provides psychosocial rehabilitation services and collaborates with program staff to meet the needs of SUD Treatment Program. The Children and Families AMH provides services to women with children participating in the SUD Treatment Program.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: The SUD Associate Mental Health Clinician reports to the SUD Children and Families Lead Clinician.

PROGRAM SUMMARY FOR HEALING OAKS CLINIC- SUBSTANCE USE DISORDER (SUD) TREATMENT PROGRAM
The Healing Oaks Substance Use Disorder Treatment Program provides outpatient substance use disorder (SUD) treatment, recovery, and ancillary services to adults aged 18 years and above, with substance use issues, including co-occurring mental health disorders. Services includes client and family centered, individualized, clinically effective, outcomes-driven, culturally competent, gender specific, trauma informed, developmentally appropriate, and inclusive of evidence-based treatment practices and recovery service approaches. Co-occurring disorder services includes clinical assessments for substance use and mental health conditions, care coordination and a “warm handoff” to appropriate level of care in the mental health system when need exceeds services available through the SUD program. Evidence based practices is utilized for all clients, including use of specific EPBs that demonstrate success for justice-involved populations as appropriate.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: Provides direct individual psychosocial rehabilitation services, psychotherapy, and family therapy; Conducts initial assessment and 90-day reviews; Develops treatment plans; Facilitates up to three (3) daily process groups and psychoeducational therapy groups. Facilitates family support/psychoeducation therapy groups; Collaborates with County-designed contractors offering therapeutic services for children; Provides therapeutic interventions to clients and/or family members in a collaborative and supportive environment, using individual, group and family modalities; Conducts collateral interviews with schools, social services, probation, and other treatment providers and community service providers to support service plan objectives; Provides crisis intervention for clients and their families, and maintains all required documentation; Participates in interdisciplinary treatment planning; Supports management staff with training of practicum students to include but not limited to co-signing documentation, on-site support and consultation; Assists with coordination of care to program through collaboration with community and school partners and may act as liaison to program; Completes all other duties as assigned.
