We are seeking a Systems Application Analyst within the Supervision and Risk Management Division to partner with technology delivery teams to provide end user support for Supervision specific technology applications.

The Bank is a mission driven organization directly supporting the safety and soundness of our nation’s financial systems. You will support applications used to carry out the Federal Reserve's mission of Bank Supervision Division through business-driven product delivery of technology service products and solutions.

The System Application Analyst is organizationally aligned with the business lines and are also cross-functionally members of the technology solution delivery teams. In this role you will provide support for application related user issues or system operational problems and work with development teams to determine a root cause and communicate that status and resolution to appropriate parties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides technical support for business solutions, application-related user issues, and/or system hardware problems by performing root causes analysis.  Communicates status of resolution to appropriate parties.  May be required to provide technical support in a 24/7 operations environment, which might necessitate additional work outside of normal business hours.

  • Proposes technology solutions to incorporate, improve, redesign, and/or enhance business processes.  May guide and assist business line-representatives in determining the scope and vision of solutions.  Identifies gaps and may conduct relevant research during the development lifecycle.

  • Updates, maintains, and monitors the operation of automated systems and applications while adhering to Enterprise Change/Asset Management processes and procedures for application updates.  May respond to system-generated application alarms by taking appropriate action to remediate.  Proactively monitors live application event logs, interprets application events, and engages appropriate technical teams to identify and implement recommended course of remediation.

  • Manages and/or builds relationships with National IT/local IT support groups and vendors.  For vendors, monitors deliverables and deadlines, ensures vendor compliance with contracts, and leads resolution of technical issues.  Serves as liaison to customers and user departments to implement information programs/systems, ascertain needs and acceptance, and to resolve problem situations.

  • Manages projects according to established standards by communicating with relevant stakeholders on status of implementation, application-related issues, application requirements, enhancements, changes, outages, and/or other production disruptions.

  • Reviews and/or creates application system documentation (i.e., processes, procedures, system flow diagrams) for supported products.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Typically, does not require any relevant previous experience. 3+ years experience preferred.

  • Associates degree in Information Technology or closely related field

  • ITIL V4 foundation, AWS foundation, or similar certifications preferred

  • You should have strong experience working with a technical/development team, clearly communicating technical concepts to business line end-users; you are technically savvy.

  • You are able to cultivate and manage relationships with support groups and vendors.

  • You are able to communicate complex issues succinctly in written or verbal form to varied audiences.

  • You are service-oriented and responsive to customer needs which may necessitate research and follow-up.
