The Senior Director,  Global Sales and Technical Enablement leads various sales and channel efficiency initiatives sought at transforming the way Fastly’s Revenue organization approaches the market and engages with prospects, customers and partners. This role is responsible for a number of key internal and external objectives including the design, development and execution of our training strategy to ensure that the Revenue teams are equipped with the knowledge of our products and services, processes and skills required to be successful. In addition, this role will manage the external training and enablement for onboarding customers and partners. This role will also plan and execute key Revenue events, including Revenue Kickoff and Senior Leadership Meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Global Revenue leaders to understand their business, identify knowledge and skills gaps, conduct ongoing needs assessments, and deliver targeted enablement programs in coordination with Marketing, Product, Support and Operations teams
  • Design, implement and lead an initial onboarding and continuous enablement program for all Revenue personnel that shortens the time to productivity
  • Design, implement and run a coordinated onboarding strategy for external customers and partners that drives adoption including onboarding, product knowledge and continuous enablement for new features.
  • Plan & execute all aspects of key events for the Revenue teams including Revenue Kickoff, award trips and leadership meetings
  • Build and retain a team of enablement professionals to execute and improve the strategic enablement program
  • Define, measure and report the performance of our enablement programs' impact, efficiency, appropriateness, and utility
  • Initiate, develop and maintain positive relationships with key partners at all levels in the organization to ensure alignment across the organization
  • Participate in GTM launch programs, with an ownership over sales readiness
  • Manage the content library that is used by the Revenue teams, ensure that all information is easily and readily accessible at point of need, and for the appropriate audience.

Requirements

  • 12+ years working in a sales, marketing, operations or sales enablement role at a technology or software company supporting Sales, Sales Engineering & Channel Teams.
  • 6+ years specifically in an enablement or effectiveness role at a technology or software company
  • Experience leading high performing, global enablement teams 
  • Prior experience working with sales enablement & CRM tools to support global teams
  • Prior experience with Force Management sales methodology
  • Prior experience planning and executing large Revenue Kickoff events
  • Ability to expertly coach and role play with individuals is key to the role
  • Experience developing training content- this includes the use of presentations, interactive exercises and other hands-on workshops
  • Excellent public speaking, presentation, teaching, facilitating and writing skills
  • Ability to handle projects & initiatives across multiple groups, prioritize tasks effectively with various partners
  • Self-starter, results driven, motivated, creative and resourceful
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where priorities change quickly based on business needs

Work Hours: 

This position will require you to be available during core business hours and as needed to collaborate with teams on different time zones.
