In this role, you will help shape policy, build meaningful partnerships, and strengthen the company’s position as a trusted partner to governments, tourism boards, and local communities.</p><p>This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with <strong>strong project management and event planning expertise</strong>, experience in <strong>public policy or advocacy</strong>, and a passion for building collaborations that create lasting positive change in the travel industry.</p><h3><strong>Your Impact</strong></h3><p>As a Strategic Partnerships Associate, you will:</p><ul> <li><p><strong>Develop and maintain strategic partnerships</strong> with public and private stakeholders in tourism, sustainability, innovation, and economic development across DACH and CEE.</p></li> <li><p><strong>Represent the company externally</strong>, engaging with government officials, tourism bodies, and other partners to communicate values and advance shared initiatives.</p></li> <li><p><strong>Coordinate agencies and vendors</strong>, such as designers, photographers, and event specialists, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and brand standards.</p></li> <li><p><strong>Lead event planning and execution</strong>, from small stakeholder workshops to large-scale conferences like ITB Berlin:</p><ul> <li><p>Prepare invitations, briefing documents, talking points, and social media content.</p></li> <li><p>Collaborate with creative teams to deliver on-brand materials.</p></li> <li><p>Manage guest lists, RSVPs, and communications with attendees.</p></li> <li><p>Oversee logistics and provide on-the-ground event support.</p></li> <li><p>Ensure timely follow-up and reporting post-event.</p></li> </ul></li> <li><p>Work closely with <strong>Communications, Public Policy, and Legal teams</strong> to deliver coordinated, impactful outcomes in a fast-paced environment.</p></li> <li><p><strong>Travel regularly</strong> across Central and Eastern Europe, with occasional trips elsewhere in Europe and to the company’s global headquarters in San Francisco.</p></li> </ul><h3><strong>What You Bring</strong></h3><ul> <li><p><strong>5+ years of experience</strong> in project or event management, stakeholder engagement, or partnership development — ideally within tourism, technology, urban development, or public policy.</p></li> <li><p>Proven ability to <strong>manage partnerships and external collaborations</strong> with diverse stakeholders.</p></li> <li><p>Experience working on <strong>cross-functional projects</strong>, collaborating across teams and geographies.</p></li> <li><p><strong>Exceptional organizational and time management skills</strong>, with an eye for detail and the ability to handle multiple priorities.</p></li> <li><p><strong>Outstanding communication skills</strong>, both written and verbal, with experience drafting professional documents and public-facing content.</p></li> <li><p>A proactive, independent mindset with the ability to <strong>take initiative and deliver results amid ambiguity</strong>.</p></li> <li><p>Fluent <strong>German (native level required)</strong> and fluent <strong>English</strong>.
