Details: 4:00am - 5:30pm (13-hour shifts).

  • Scheduled 3x per week in a rolling 6-week self-schedule calendar
  • Includes flexing to four 10's for operational demands
  • Rotates scheduled days Sunday - Saturday 
  • Includes Weekend rotations (every 3-6 weeks)
  • Includes 24/7 on-call weekend rotations (every 10-11 weeks)
  • Includes holiday rotations 
     
Remote, but expected to commute on site for downtown procedures and potential team building or in-person meetings.
 

Job Summary:


The Staffing Optimization Specialist plays a critical role in supporting IU Health's real-time scheduling and staffing operations. This position maintains a 24/7 live schedule using UKG Pro to manage timekeeping, scheduling, and call center functions for over 13,000 IU Health team members. The Specialist collaborates closely with nursing leaders and administrators to ensure appropriate staffing levels are available and adapt to changing patient care needs across the system.

• High School Diploma/GED. Associate's degree preferred.
• Requires flexibility in scheduling due to 24/7 responsibilities (includes weekends/holidays).
• Requires ability to function in a team-oriented environment.
• Requires ability to use Microsoft Office.
• Preferred experience with handling confidential information.
• Preferred 1-2 years in customer service industry.
• Preferred Kronos experience (timekeeping and scheduler).
