Job Description
The Role:
The Engineering Change Coordinator will be responsible for managing specification data for all part numbers used to produce and ship product to customers using MGO. Responsible for coordinating data and implementation plans for engineering changes, supporting MGO scheduling and inventory management while supporting our customers and minimizing cost.
What You'll Do (Role Responsibilities):
- Maintain part information and specs in MGO-C. Utilize various GM systems and work with engineering to analyze and reconcile Bills of Material
- Review sources of new part information, complete setup process in MGO and communicate with all stakeholders
- Maintain part information in E-scrap database
- Identify and assess various problems associated with unexplained inventory gains and losses, requirements, supplier schedules, and Bills of Material
- Facilitate Engineering Changes by working cross-functionally with Purchasing, Engineering, Supplier Quality, Logistics, and assembly / manufacturing plants
- Manage processes for controlled changes that require detailed and specific breakpoint timing to ensure no interruption to build and quality processes
- Support launch with on time completion of all tasks and tracking documents
- Keep part database current and purge parts from the database as they become obsolete
- Analyze daily/weekly specification and breakpoint error reports and resolve data issues with appropriate escalation as necessary
- Create, update, and maintain relevant STS’s/TIS’s
Your Skills and Abilities (Required Qualifications):
- 3+ years of Supply Chain experience or related experience
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience
- Experience with engineering changes in a manufacturing environment
- High level analytical ability where problems are complex
- Demonstrate ability to manage multiple and significantly complex cases and assignments with high level of autonomy and accountability for results.
- Excellent communication and command skills are necessary to be successful in this position.
- High level of computer skills (Excel)
- Supply chain or production control experience
What Can Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):
- GMS experience
- Previous launch experience preferred
- Knowledge of GM Specifications & Engineering Change Management
- Proficient in MGO-C, Teamcenter, GPDS (Global Product Description System)
