The Portfolio Analytics organization at BMS provides assessments of the health of the BMS portfolio for management through a combination of quantitative and qualitative assessments. The Senior Manager/Associate Director, Portfolio Analytics position will play an integral role in managing consistency on our data approach to ensure quality and consistency between corporate Long Term Financial Plan and Portfolio Health analyses. A successful candidate will be able to advance data management capabilities and aid in analyses to inform enterprise-wide portfolio decision-making 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Manage data and analytics that generate strategic insights about BMS portfolio in the context of long-term financial planning (LTFP) and Therapeutic Area strategy. 

  • Implement initiatives to enhance data accessibility and quality for portfolio reporting  

  • Assists in the creation and preparation of presentation materials and messaging for Leadership Team’s & Board of Directors’ review

  • Provides in-depth analysis of LTFP Revenues, including evolution and variances analysis, revenue range outcomes, risk analysis, regional mix

  • Facilitate investment trade-off analyses to support continuous portfolio prioritization in close partnership with Finance, Drug Development, Business Insights & Technology, and Commercialization 

  • Develop high quality visuals and work product outputs in a fit-for-purpose to enable manner portfolio health analyses including risk-reward, investment efficiency, portfolio balance, etc. 

  • Partner within Enterprise Strategy and leaders across the organization to gather relevant data, ensuring comprehensive, transparent and accurate analyses to meet enterprise needs.  

Qualifications 

Required: 

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in a quantitative discipline (Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Statistics, etc). Advanced degree in business, quantitative, or life sciences preferred. 

  • 5-10 years of experience, including 2+ years within pharmaceutical data analytics  

  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and financial modeling skills with the ability to prioritize workload. Significant experience including MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint), including Power Queries / Power BI.  Monte Carlo and Hyperion experience a plus

  • Strong collaborative and communication skills with demonstrated ability to lead and influence in a matrixed environment while managing competing priorities. 

  • Experience in pharmaceutical asset valuation, revenue forecasting, or P&L analysis. 

  • A demonstrated ability to lead multiple priorities and work independently is required. 

Preferred: 

  • A graduate degree in business (MBA) or an advanced degree in quantitative or life sciences is highly preferred. 

  • Portfolio analysis and/or strategy consulting experience preferred. 

  • Broad understanding of pharmaceutical industry R&D, including clinical development, regulatory strategy, and competitive dynamics required.

Compensation Overview:

Princeton - NJ - US: $178,500 - $216,300
