Sr Calibration Technician

Manufacturing Instrumentation/Calibration Technician work focuses on installing, calibrating, testing, and repairing instruments and technologies that monitor the environmental conditions within a manufacturing facility including:
•Inspecting and testing the operation of instruments/devices (e.g., oscilloscopes, calipers, pressure gauges, and temperature controllers) to diagnose faults
•Installing and maintaining control and measurement instruments on plant equipment
•Testing and measuring heat, light, voltage, amperage, weight, vacuum, magnetic resistance, or various content measurements to ensure conformance with quality standards and controls
•May also work with Engineers to design and build custom instrument and control devices where required

 

Requires broad knowledge of operational procedures and tools obtained through extensive work experience and may require vocational or technical education. May require the following proficiency: • Works under limited supervision for routine situations. • Provides assistance and training to lower level employees. • Problems typically are not routine and require analysis to understand.
