As a hands-on expert in Ansys products, you will use advanced-level engineering knowledge to provide technical pre-sales support, perform professional services, and help translate customer requirements into exciting new product features. You will be working within multi-disciplinary teams to advance your knowledge, experience, and business impact.</p> <p> </p> <p>Key Duties and Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Apply advanced engineering expertise and knowledge of electromagnetics simulation techniques to provide the highest level of technical support to customers, ensuring high-quality, timely customer service that results in improved customer satisfaction and productivity.</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Take ownership of customer problems, proactively engage with selected accounts to provide comprehensive solutions. Work independently and contribute to all technical activities throughout the sales opportunity lifecycle, interact with customers to understand their product design needs and engineering design workflows and articulate Ansys’ value proposition.</li> <li>Provide intermediate and/or advanced training classes. Scope and deliver professional services for projects which may include collaborative work with other application engineers in the same or different disciplines.</li> <li>Gather customer requirements to support the improvement of Ansys software and collaborate with the Ansys product development teams to translate customer requirements into new product capabilities. Test new releases on industrial problems.</li> <li>Participates in internal corporate initiatives to share knowledge and to create best practices, both within and outside of the engineering disciplines.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience</p> <ul> <li>BS degree in electrical engineering with emphasis on RF, electromagnetic fields, radar,wireless systems or Signal and Power Integrity and EMI/EMC</li> <li>Industrial experience related to radar, antenna design, millimeter wave circuits, wireless systems or related topics.</li> <li>A solid understanding of the basic principles of electromagnetic fields and RF circuit design such as filters, impedance matching networks, amplifiers and mixers.</li> <li>Ability to describe complex technical concepts to a range of audiences.</li> <li>Familiarity with one or more commercial simulation tools such as Ansys HFSS, Feko, Keysight Momentum, or CST Microwave studio, Mentor Hyperlinx, Cadence.</li> <li>Logical problem-solving, strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to facilitate and conduct webinars and presentations to customers and a wide range of audiences. Fluent written and spoken English and German.</li> <li>Fluency in both German and English languages.</li> <li>Ability to work on multiple projects which are complex in nature across geographically diverse locations. </li> <li>Strong organizational and time-management skills, possesses a sense of urgency.</li> <li>Projects a professional image and demonstrates business acumen.</li> <li>Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>Preferred Qualifications and Skills</p> <ul> <li>Preferred education and years of professional experience in an engineering environment: BS+8, MS+6 or PhD+3.</li> </ul> <ul> <li>2 years of experience in application engineering, customer support, or consulting services type customer facing roles using engineering software.  </li> <li>Demonstrated ability to understand business requirements and translate these into an execution plan that delivers value and meets business goals.</li> <li>Ability to interact effectively with senior business managers and C-level executives. </li> <li>Understanding of wireless communication and/or radar systems.</li> <li>Experience with Matlab, Python, or another high-level programming language applied to solving problems in mathematics, engineering or physics.</li> <li>Understanding of thermal and mechanical challenges in wireless and/or radar systems.</li> <li>Knowledge of Linux operating system.</li> <li>Familiarity with high performance computing and schedulers.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>At An
