About the role

General Job Description:

Under the direction of the Risk Manager, this position is responsible for coordination, administration, and supervision of contracts and contract documents for ACCO projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Read and analyze contracts to ACCO and subsidiaries from Owners & General Contractors.
  • Prepare contracts to be approved and returned.
  • Procuring contract document approvals and signatures.
  • Obtain scope clarifications, if any, from project managers.
  • Prepare contract clarification/return letter.
  • Provide necessary documents to accompany contracts.
  • Final review prior to contracts being sent out.
  • Prepare exhibits for ACCO subcontracts, including certified payroll and OCIPs.
  • Order and process bid bonds, payment/performance bonds & surety riders.
  • Provide back up to process contracts from frequent customers.
  • Develop billing instructions based on contract requirements.
  • Order insurance certifications based on our customer’s requirements.
  • Identify information necessary to prepare preliminary notices.
  • Collect bond information from the prime contractor.
  • Prepare a draft of the contract letter.
  • Lease maintenance & negotiation
  • Enroll in wrap insurance programs
  • Other miscellaneous projects as needed.

Position Requirements (Skills, Work Experience, Education, Certifications, Licenses, etc.):

  • 3+ years of Contracts experience in construction industry strongly preferred
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Extensive computer knowledge
  • Excel – Capable of using Macros, databases, graphs, reports, forms, formulas, and functions.
  • Word – Capable of creating new documents, letters, etc.
  • Internet – Provide detailed data searches and online applications
  • Westlaw experience, a plus
  • Able to edit text with PDF writable software (BlueBeam) and ensure data accuracy (98% accuracy required in all work products)
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and able organize data
  • Able to negotiate and resolve conflicts
  • Able to work in a deadline driven / sometimes hectic work environment while maintaining professional behavior
  • Should be detail-oriented, able to prioritize assignments, and self-motivated. 
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills required.
