Department Overview
The company’s Service Planning and Design organization (SP&D) supports the business vision by delivering customers safe, reliable, and affordable electric and gas services in compliance with all applicable regulatory and internal requirements. SP&D supports both gas and electric operations through its customer project management, design and estimating functions.
Position Summary
In this role you will support the Enterprise Customer Management (ECM) Leadership Team. This individual will have an openness to a feedback culture, have a strong sense of curiosity and desire to learn and teach others, and have a demonstrated ability to engage effectively with key stakeholders and influence others. This individual will be responsible for working with the ECM Team to support the Service Planning & Design (SP&D) organization within the Gas Engineering line of business.
This role will also serve as the industry engagement and process improvement lead for the Electric Vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure market. This role solves unique and complex customer, program and process problems, anticipating issues and developing innovative process solutions in a collaborative manner to support ECM Program objectives and may drive or support major cross functional initiatives/improvement efforts. This role will require strong analytical and various software skills (Microsoft Office, Adobe, Google Earth,etc.) to be successful. The Program Manager may develop highly complex process tracking systems that have wide ranging impacts and application across multiple departments related to the PG&E Service Planning & Design organization.
Position duties may include (but are not limited to)-
• Program Management Leadership
o Act as the Program Manager for the EV charging infrastructure market
o With ECM Leadership, effectively engage all end-to-end process/program stakeholders through clearly developed and thoughtful weekly communication and program execution meetings
o Develop standardized tools, reports and activities to proactively manage program execution and anticipate risks before they yield significant program impacts
o Identify areas of opportunity and engage stakeholders to influence process improvement activities
• Process Improvement Support
o Act as Process Improvement Support for one of the EV charging infrastructure market
o Drive cross-functional engagement among all key stakeholders to oversee process execution and monitor performance associated to the following areas:
Process Mapping
Oversight for dependency backlogs
Measurement of quality metrics
Measurement of financial impacts by Workstream
Oversight for out-year work planning and forecating
DOR Support for ECM Leadership Meetings
• Integration of Lean Management System practices
o Works closely with the process and program stakeholders to integrate the lean management methodology and tools within the existing daily, weekly, monthly and annual tasks of program.
o Supports identification of issues, escalation, problem solving and key stakeholder engagement to develop sustainable solutions.
• Program Management Improvement and Support
o Supports the development of standardized internal practices and utilization of tools and applications to drive consistency and best practice.
This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. The assigned work location will be within the PG&E Service Territory (Oakland, CA)
Position will require approximately 20% of travel time in work schedule.
PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.
A reasonable salary range is:
Bay Area Minimum:$140,000
Bay Area Maximum:$238,000
