Collins is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Principal Project Team Lead – SIPT to lead advanced aerospace development programs focused on electric power generation equipment for Boeing’s large commercial aircraft. In this critical role, you will provide dotted-line leadership to a cross-functional team of Component IPT (CIPT) members and report directly to the Program Chief Engineer.

As the SIPT Lead, you will drive system-level integration efforts, foster collaboration across multidisciplinary teams, and ensure the successful delivery of innovative solutions that meet stringent aerospace standards. What You Will Do

• Lead efforts to meet system-level requirements, including system definition, development, testing, and initial production.

• Lead investigations into field performance issues and drive Root Cause Corrective Actions (RCCA) to closure.

• Develop and execute plans to achieve key programmatic and customer milestones, such as hardware deliveries, qualification activities, and customer lab or flight test aircraft support.

• Manage work scope, respond to Requests for Quotes (RFQs), interface with customers, close action items, and oversee schedule, Earned Value Management System (EVMS), risk, and standard work processes.

• Coordinate with Collins supply chain and manage supplier relationships.

• Create and monitor key performance metrics, including budget, quality, and schedule, and implement corrective actions when necessary to address negative trends.

• Develop, justify, and manage the annual budget and secure necessary resources.

• Maintain a strong focus on customer satisfaction and product quality.

• Identify risks and implement appropriate mitigation plans.

• Communicate program status effectively through written and oral reports to management and customers.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience

Qualifications We Prefer

• Project management experience, including team leadership responsibilities.

• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams in design and development projects.

• Experience in the aerospace industry.

• Familiarity with industry design standards.

• Knowledge of FAA conformity rules and management.

• PMP certification.

• Ability to manage multiple concurrent medium- to large-scale development projects.
