Whether we’re supporting productions, managing data centers, or ensuring system reliability, our teams provide world-class foundational services to a diverse set of technology stakeholders across the company’s businesses.

We are seeking an Associate Project Manager to support cross-functional initiatives and ensure operational excellence for Post-Production Engineering. This role combines project management, agile methodology, and technical expertise to drive impactful solutions for production, data, and technology projects. This role offers a unique opportunity to combine your project management expertise, technical knowledge, and passion for storytelling to shape the future of Disney’s iconic cinematic legacy.

Responsibilities:

Lead 3+ concurrent technology initiatives with small complexity throughout their lifecycle. This includes project intake, use case definition, charter and scope definition, project plan development, capacity allocations, resource assignment, project execution, and postmortems.

  • Manage tasks and resources through waterfall, scrum, or Kanban methodologies.

  • Prioritize and escalate critical operational tasks, execute project work plans, and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.

  • Support sprint ceremonies, including planning, daily standups, reviews, retrospectives, and reporting.

  • Organize and maintain project documentation and artifacts in a clear and accessible manner.

  • Establish, track, and report on project progress (key tasks and milestones), risks, and issues to engineering management.

  • Identify project risks.

  • Assist Project Manager(s) with resource sprint planning and management, including facilitation of daily stand-ups and weekly sprint close meetings.

  • Assist Project Manager(s) with day-today project management functions such as meeting notes, action item follow ups, and project communications.

  • Assist Project Manager(s) to ensure data integrity on their project plans.

  • Assist Project Managers, Program Managers, and Managers (as needed) to coordinate and schedule calls for projects - specifically when leadership is required (Director and above).

  • Assist Project Manager(s) with ensuring teams are tracking or have completed tasks tied to prescribed dates for preparation and execution of Portfolio Reviews and QPP events.

Must Haves:

  • Experience in technical project management, utilizing waterfall and agile methodology.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure while managing multiple tasks, organizing and prioritizing work effectively in a constantly evolving and rapidly changing environment.

  • Experience in project management tools (e.g., Jira, Smartsheet) and process mapping tools (e.g., LucidChart).

  • Strong communication (oral, written, and visual), analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to Haves:

  • Experience working in media, entertainment, or production environments.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Teams, Atlassian Suites, Airtable, and Miro.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or comparable field of study, and/or equivalent work experience
