Description
Acutec Precision Aerospace is seeking an experienced CNC Swiss Machinist to join our team in St. Stephens, SC. This is not just an operator role—we are looking for someone with the skill and initiative to program, set up, and run Swiss-type CNC lathes, particularly Tsugami machines. This person will lead our Swiss department and play a vital role in supporting high-quality aerospace and defense manufacturing.

Requirements
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required
- At least 3 years of experience operating and programming CNC Swiss machines OR equivalent combination of education and experience
Knowledge & Skills:
- Proficient in setting up and programming Tsugami or similar Swiss-style machines
- Strong blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation
- Skilled in precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, etc.)
- Ability to edit programs and adjust tools for accuracy and efficiency
- Familiar with SPC input and interpreting statistical data
- Able to perform math related to machining (fractions, decimals, percentages, speeds/feeds)
- Comfortable mentoring others and working in a collaborative team environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Physical Requirements:
- Regularly required to stand, reach, and handle parts/tools
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Must have vision abilities including color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
