A Day in the Life
Medtronic is looking for passionate and experienced self-starters to join our team in Billerica, MA! We currently have multiple openings for both 2nd and 3rd shift. In this role, you will be supporting Affera’s cardiac ablation generator product manufacturing. You will be responsible for performing manufacturing functional and safety testing for the cardiac ablation product. You will also support improvements in manufacturing quality, capacity, and stability through solving problems, developing solutions, and executing strategies.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
Investigate failures from the line to identify Tier 1 & Tier 2 root causes
Partner with Engineering on DMAIC problem solving
Work on projects to help Yield improvements
Add new failures modes to trouble shooting guide and be a voice of X
Identify novel failures and work with Engineering to drive solutions
Construct, troubleshoot, calibrate, adjust, test, diagnose, and maintain equipment, components, devices, or systems.
Work from schematics, engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions.
Operate related equipment, conduct tests and report data in prescribed format.
Adjusts and calibrates systems as needed.
Modifies equipment by adding, removing, or altering components as defined by predetermined diagrams and sketches.
Participates and leads investigation for process and product non conformances
Uses various measuring and testing devices in performing job duties.
May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
Responsible for the implementation of activities in production area(s) to meet production goals, quality, and cost objectives.
Experience handling multiple tasks concurrently
Good communication skills (both written and interpersonal). Ability to work well in a collaborative team environment to achieve results
Excellent data analysis skills
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
High School Diploma or GED AND minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
Nice to Have: Preferred Requirements
Relevant experience in the medical device, pharmaceutical or highly regulated industry.
Experience in medical device production or manufacturing environment
IPC A 610 experience– Soldering Certification / Acceptability of Electronics Assemblies
IPC A 620 experience – Requirements and Acceptance for Cable/Wire Harness Assemblies
Operate and maintain test and inspection equipment, including:
Ohmmeters, multimeters, and electrical continuity test
