Essential Job Responsibilities:
1. Daily athletic training services for a high school outreach athletic program.
2. Assesses, treats and develops rehabilitation and reconditioning strategies for athletes.
3. Designs and implements injury prevention and education programs.
4. Provides athletic training services at an event schedule agreed upon by the Coordinator of Sports Medicine, the respective head coaches and/or the high school athletic director.
5. Demonstrates proper taping, strapping, bracing, and fitting of athletic equipment.
6. Carries out all prescribed treatments and recommendations by the team/program/event physician.
7. Provides athletic training services for pre-season physicals, sports games or matches, and related events as directed by the Coordinator of Sports Medicine.
Education: Bachelors Degree or Master’s Degree from an accredited educational program. Master’s Degree is preferred.
Qualifications: Must be a Certified Athletic Trainer by the BOC and eligible for West Virginia and Ohio Athletic Trainer licensure. CPR and First Aid Instructor certification preferred.
Experience: Experience with high school athletics is preferred.
