Job Title: 

School of Music- Adjunct Faculty Songwriting Instructor-Evening School

This position teaches 2 Evening School sections of Songwriting.

Required Degree: 

Bachelor's degree, preferably in a related musical or literary field.

The required degree must be completed by the start date.

Experience: 

Must have at least 5 years of professional songwriting experience and be a published songwriter

Duties/Expectations: 

  • Must be able to teach the craft of songwriting from a creative and practical perspective

  • Aid students in becoming more prolific songwriters and help them refine their craft

  • Educate students on the business landscape for Songwriters

  • Assist students in understanding various modern day Songwriter income streams and how to participate in them

  • Ability to create a comfortable climate for students in which to share their creative work and help them navigate creative roadblocks

  • Other objectives as determined in consultation with Commercial Music Faculty.

Must reside in the State of Utah to be eligible for employment consideration.
