The Food and Beverage Team Member performs duties that include, but are not limited to, preparing food, providing customer service, stocking and rotating products, following safety regulations, and performing various administrative and cleaning tasks. Roles & Responsibilities:
Role & Responsibilities:
- Greet customers, assist with questions, and manage accurate transactions to provide an engaging customer experience
- Smile and communicate with coworkers and guests
- Prepare and serve food and drinks in a safe and timely manner
- Maintain a safe work environment, according to company and external inspection standards
- Replenish condiments, beverages, and food supplies while maintaining a clean work area
- Conduct transactions while ensuring all handling procedures are followed – including credit and refund transactions, loss prevention
- Maintain compliance with company and industry best practices, policies, and procedures to create a safe environment for colleagues and guests
- Monitor product quality and communicate shrinkage/waste to the lead and/or supervisor
- Ensure all food product specifications and procedures are followed during preparation
- Utilize ovens, fryers, broilers, griddles, mixers, and knives to prepare food (age restrictions may apply)
- Ensure food and ingredients are being properly stored at the correct temperatures
- Provide excellent customer service
- Follow all opening and closing as well as operating procedures for the location – including cleanliness and safety, food safety, food quality, guest service and loss prevention
- Adheres to all training guidelines
- Quickly and politely respond to and resolve guest questions and concerns
- Follow all proper Personnel Protective Equipment guidelines
- All other duties assigned by leadership
Education and Experience:
- No education requirements for this role
- Previous work experience is not required
- Must become Food Handler Safety Certified (ServSafe or similar) or become so within 90 days of hire, when required by state and local guidelines.
Language: Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English; Spanish or other bilingual language skills are a plus.
Requirements:
- Must be at least 14 years of age to comply with Wisconsin Child Labor Laws
- Ability to work flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must have reliable transportation to and from your scheduled shift
- Ability to comply with all uniform policies
- Must possess safety-oriented mindset and understand the importance of complying with all state, and local food preparation and serving regulations
- Must possess exceptional customer service skills, with an ability to resolve questions, problems, issues, and concerns in a positive and professional manner
- Ability to positively engage with guests to promote sales and customer satisfaction
- Ability to follow direction, multi-task, and work as part of a team as well as independently
- Ability to use step stools, as needed
- Ability to safely utilize knives and other food preparation equipment, as needed
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, and remain on feet for majority of the workday
