Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Enterprise Architecture Development (25%)
Define and Maintain Architecture Frameworks: Develop and uphold comprehensive architecture frameworks that outline the standards, principles, and policies guiding the organization’s IT ecosystem.
Create Technology Roadmaps: Establish long-term technology roadmaps that align with business objectives, ensuring the scalability and adaptability of IT systems.
Develop Architecture Models: Build and maintain architecture models that include data, application, and infrastructure layers, ensuring cohesion across technology platforms.
Align IT Strategy with Business Goals: Regularly evaluate business goals and adjust the architecture to ensure alignment with company priorities and industry best practices.
Strategic Planning and Stakeholder Engagement (20%)
Engage with Leadership and Stakeholders: Work closely with Senior VPs and department heads to understand and address strategic needs and ensure IT alignment with business strategies.
Identify Opportunities for Innovation: Actively seek areas where technology can enhance the organization’s competitive advantage, proposing solutions to improve efficiency, agility, and business outcomes.
Facilitate Decision-Making: Lead discussions and offer expertise on technology strategy, helping stakeholders make informed decisions on investments and prioritizations.
Conduct Business Capability Mapping: Work with business teams to map capabilities, ensuring alignment between IT and business goals.
Technology Governance and Standards (20%)
Establish IT Governance Policies: Develop and enforce governance policies, standards, and practices to ensure compliance and consistency across technology initiatives.
Define Technology Standards and Best Practices: Set guidelines for technology selection, architecture design, and integration, promoting best practices and consistency across teams.
Review and Approve Architectural Designs: Evaluate and approve high-level architecture and solution designs to ensure they adhere to enterprise standards and align with strategic goals.
Monitor Compliance with Policies: Ensure that all IT solutions and systems comply with governance policies, security regulations, and industry standards.
Technology Evaluation and Innovation (15%)
Prepare Architecture Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation that outlines the architecture, including design specifications and component details.
Maintain Technical Roadmaps: Develop roadmaps for technical implementation and deployment and update these based on project evolution.
Document Key Decisions and Assumptions: Record major architectural decisions, assumptions, and rationales to provide context for future reference.
Create User Guides and Training Materials: As necessary, prepare materials to help other teams understand and use the architecture effectively.
Update and Archive Documentation: Ensure all documentation is current and accessible, archiving outdated materials as the project progresses.
Risk Management and Compliance (10%)
Identify and Mitigate Risks: Proactively assess and address architectural risks, such as scalability, security, and performance, ensuring they are mitigated through design.
Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that IT architecture adheres to relevant regulations, standards, and industry requirements, particularly in security and data privacy.
Manage Technology Lifecycle: Oversee the technology lifecycle management, identifying obsolete systems and planning upgrades or replacements as necessary.
Facilitate Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery: Contribute to disaster recovery planning and business continuity initiatives, ensuring that architecture supports resilience.
Documentation, Communication and Team Development (10%)
