Are you ready to make a difference? Join the WellStar Enterprise Support Team (WEST) in our Float Pool! This exciting opportunity allows you to work across various facilities based on staffing needs, utilizing your unique skills to provide exceptional patient care wherever you’re needed most.

Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

Treatment Planning and Patient Care

  • Implements occupational therapy treatment plans.
  • Selects appropriate treatment activities to help patients achieve their goals.
  • Revises goals and treatment plans with patient and family input.
  • Provides ongoing education and training to patients and families.
  • Offers discharge instructions, follow-up guidance, and referrals to community resources as needed.
  • Serves as a resource for staff, families, and physicians regarding rehabilitation services and equipment.

Patient Assessment

  • Works with physicians to establish and continuously evaluate treatment programs, care plans, goals, and discharge plans.
  • Develops a plan of care in collaboration with the patient and/or family.
  • Creates a realistic discharge plan aligned with patient and family goals.

Documentation

  • Documents evaluations and care plans in accordance with departmental guidelines.
  • Records each treatment session following departmental protocols.
  • Completes and submits required documentation, including patient education and discharge summaries, per facility and program guidelines.

  • Utilizes materials and equipment safely and cost-effectively.
  • Observes infection prevention protocols.

  • Complies with all Wellstar Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy or Bachelors degree in Occupational Therapy (required).
