This position will support Navarro-ATL. Navarro-ATL is located in Richland, WA, and operates, manages, and maintains the 222-S Laboratory Complex for the Department of Energy. The Navarro-ATL members are Navarro Research and Engineering, Inc. (Oak Ridge, TN), and Advanced Technologies and Laboratories International (Gaithersburg, MD).

Navarro seeks a Maintenance Field Work Supervisor (FWS) who will be responsible for providing direct oversite of assigned work scope and supervision of Hanford Atomic Metal Trades Council (HAMTC) craft support workforce in support of the 222S Laboratory. This position assists the Maintenance Manager with general supervision and coordination of multiple crafts. The FWS will provide leadership and oversight in the planning and execution of maintenance activities; direct and control work to ensure a balance of craft skills, worksite supervision, and documentation; ensure field personnel are compliant with company mandated and other applicable policies, procedures, programs, and regulations including DOE directives, personnel safety, and environmental compliance and safety of the general public.

• Ensure work packages are technically correct and capable of being performed safely and efficiently.
• Resolve work and safety issues to permit safe and efficient performance of work in the field.
• Review and approve maintenance technical procedures (preventive maintenance); conduct field validation of technical procedures.
• Provide status and communicate work scope at Plan of the Day and Plan of the Week meetings.
• Resolve resource and schedule issues.
• Provide effective progressive performance management of employee issues; respond to employee issues and concerns and resolve, to the extent practicable, bargaining unit grievance issues.
• Provide input to engineering and other organizations for improvement initiatives relating to 222-S facilities and maintenance.
• Perform Integrated Contractor Assurance System (iCAS) resolution.
• Provide expertise on maintenance issues and evaluations.
• Perform pre-job/post-job briefings with craft resources for assigned work scopes.
• Willingness to work overtime as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

Grade 18:

• Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) in related discipline and eight (8) years of related work experience in maintenance/construction; or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

Grade 19:

• Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) in related discipline and nine (9) years of related work experience in maintenance/construction, to include a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory capacity, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

• Current or previous experience working in a radiological and nuclear facility is highly desirable.
• Previous experience with Bargaining Unit employees and Collective Bargain Agreements.
• Knowledgeable in Mechanical, Electrical, and Instrument Maintenance and installation.
• Current Electrical Journeyman’s License
• Knowledge in NFPA 70E codes
