We are looking to for a great new Senior Training Specialist  to our training team!  

Details:

  • Tentative Start date: ASAP
  • Starting rate: $30.00
  • Not division specific Willing to have a primary report in  Sac-East Rancho Cordova or Livermore.
  • Hours: Full-time Monday-Friday 00830-1700.
  • Basic Duties:  

Research and create specified training compatible for both online and in-class platforms. Design opportunities of occupational development for all roles. Lead Instructors to teach topics, classes, and modules as  assigned. Teach assigned courses, assess, and evaluate the progress of new hires and employees participating in Training 
70% content development, 15% admin work, 15%instruction 


Responsibilities:

  • Abide by and uphold all NORCAL Policy and Procedures.
  •  Advise and mentor crew members as an advocate of NORCAL’s Core Values.
  • Maintain all certifications.
  • Attend regular training and participate in educational opportunities.
  • Design training programs, for all employees as dictated by business needs. Including: content, equipment lists, lesson plans, implementation, evaluation, record keeping, review etc. with guidance from Training Manager
  • Collaborate with Training Manager to organize, change, and design trainings.
  • Conduct Trainings in accordance with approved curriculum.
  • Update and track employee progress through training programs.
  • Assume responsibility for training center including cleanliness, safety, storeroom supplies, and checklists.
  • Coordinate annual updates for EMT’s and/or Paramedics and implementation of revised treatment protocols, and OSHA Requirements.
  • Maintain a keen understanding of training trends, developments, and best practices to deploy a wide variety of training methods.
  • Provide engaging communication about program information to encourage participation and highlight the value and benefits of training.
  • Assist in remedial training, tracking, and reporting required post clinical investigations, as assigned by Training Manager.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Qualifications

Experience working as a certified or licensed medical professional

(minimum 2 Years preferred) and have experience as an instructor, with curriculum

development, or have comparable training experience.


Education/Experience: 

High school diploma or general education degree (GED);

Experience training and/or teaching 2 years preferred. Active or ability to obtain AHA

Instructor Certification; and National Association of EMS Educators Level I Instructor

Course (NAEMSE I); California State Fire Marshal (CSFM) Training Instructor 1A, 1B and

1C; National Fire Academy (NFA) – Fire Service Instructional Methodology; and Certified

Ambulance Documentation Specialist Certification (CADS); and other specialty certification

as needed (EVOC Instructor, Skills Verification, etc.) with-in 12 months.


Language Ability: 

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating

and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and

correspondence and to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions

furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several

concrete variables in standardized situations.


Certifications/Licenses: 

State/County Certifications: County issued EMT or Paramedic

certification card, CPR for BLS Provider or ACLS Certification, Valid California Driver’s
