Manufacturing Supervisor - Accessories Department

Description

The Manufacturing Supervisor is responsible for managing the daily production on the shop floor. This includes employee supervision and/or coaching, meeting manpower requirements and placements, as well as on-the-job training for employees.

This position is for 7:00 pm - 7:00 am.

Requirements

· Meet daily manpower and scheduling requirements, manage absentee coverage.

· Meet overall performance measures of the shift.

· Provide on-the-job training to employees.

· Maintain and uphold all quality standards of the organization, including enforcing all policies and procedures regarding safety, quality, housekeeping, attendance, conduct, etc.

· Maintain an accurate record of all production activities.

· Evaluate team performance.

· Interact with other departments when necessary to ensure proper system function.

· Troubleshoot processes, equipment, and quality problems to facilitate maximizing efficiency.

· Initiate new job start-ups when required.

· Effectively manage scrap control and reduction.

· Engage in plan development and implementation.

· Delegate work to subordinates when necessary to ensure efficiency and timely completion of all tasks.

· Complete necessary documentation and file appropriately.

· Ensure that all completed orders are closed out and the product is transferred to the correct location.

· Required attendance at daily production meetings.

· Must maintain current certification for First Aid/CPR/AED.

· Interact with Maintenance to maximize efficiency of all production lines.

Qualifications and Experience

· HS diploma or GED equivalent.

· Three to five years of production supervisory experience preferred.

· Excellent communication and leadership skills.

· Strong proficiency in MS Office including Word and Excel.

· Flexible Schedule and ability to work overtime when needed.

· Ability to troubleshoot and provide preventative maintenance and thorough knowledge of occupational hazards and corresponding safety precautions necessary for the safe performance of all duties.
