Communications Writer & Project Manager – Remote 8-5 PST

Would you like to:
Deliver content and editorial services for the M365 Community team. Services include:
- Development of M365 Community content, including copywriting and editing services for social posts, blog articles, newsletters, and other program materials.
- Amplification strategy and execution for M365 Community events content.
- Help support amplification of events for https://www.communitydays.org
- Stay abreast of events happening through organic community and amplify communications Internally and Externally; social and integrated amplification (not marketing) to further spread the event messaging and participation.
- Internal posting/amplification:
- utilize Viva Amplify – not afraid to learn how to use SP design templates and utilize repetitively.
- Able to learn how to build templates and automate this for reuse.
- Editorial calendar management for M365 Community channels.
- Publication and management of M365 Community content on internal sites.
- Previous Microsoft experience preferred; need familiarity with the marketing machine at Microsoft; experience working cross-functionally with multiple teams, products and communities.
- Knowledge of/familiarity with AKA.ms links.
- Familiar with Microsoft’s products, services, culture, and values.
Job Responsibilities:
- Product blogging, community event amplification.
- Write articles, newsletters, communication materials, and other materials for social media channels.
- Develop community-specific communications including posts, blogs, carousel, and other program materials.
- Post/launch content to various engines.
- Manage communications across the span of topics related to the community including launches, new programs, and super user.
- Support the development and management of editorial calendars for community content.
- Manage monthly newsletter for Microsoft Global Community Initiative.
Qualifications:
- Write copy quickly - short form and long form copy.
- 2+ years of experience in social media; familiarity with social media platforms.
- Excellent verbal & written communication.
- Knowledge of/familiarity with AKA.ms links.
- Adobe Photoshop experience preferred.
- Solid organizational and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, and able to work under pressure to meet very tight deadlines.
- Can demonstrate understanding of brands and branding, brand strategy and target audience knowledge/insights. Uses this understanding to inform daily work.
- Confidence to take a risk; bias for action; Shared ownership mindset.
- Proven experience establishing strong collaborative relationships across a varied set of stakeholders and partners across various internal teams and external communities.
- Analytics and reporting: Prepare regular reports providing insights and recommendations for optimization.

Compensation Range: $45 - $50/hour
This compensation range is indicative of the role. Compensation offered is on the basis of evaluation during interview process, the candidates range and depth of experience, business and market financials and internal pay parity.
