SUMMARY
Based in Greensboro, NC, USA, and withing the Automotive Connectivity BU, the Sr RF Systems Engineer will contribute to product definition, systems architecture, and overall systems engineering of Telematics and UWB solutions. This includes reference designs, software architecture, and new product concepts and prototypes that enable Qorvo to offer high value automotive solutions. The individual should be able to provide technical insight, expertise, and support to both internal and external customers, including internal engineering teams, automotive tier-1 suppliers, car OEMs and wireless module manufacturers. In this role, this person will define, architect and troubleshoot solutions, with user experience and customer satisfaction in mind. These systems solutions will enable our customers to implement Qorvo’s wireless technology in their automotive applications, focusing on wireless communications, secure-access and other leading next generation components. This position will require a broad technical reach with systems engineering mindset and the ability to quickly learn new technical content as Qorvo expanded its automotive portfolio.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Contribute to defining and building automotive systems solutions
- Serve as the “go-to” systems engineering technical specialist for multiple product lines
- Work in collaboration with the HW/IC architectm SW Architect and design engineering to define required blocks and Interfaces.
- Contribute keen insight on system related technical ideas and potential issues at product definition, prototyping and customer ramp
- Participate in project follow up meetings – internal & external - including weekly meetings with Qorvo local teams and customers as required.
- Produce associated technical documentation.
- Support product requirements definition
- Support generation of product technical documentation
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- MSEE degree in a relevant engineering discipline
- Expertise in Telematics systems engineering
- Technical understanding of UWB, BLE, and other wireless technologies.
- Hands-on expertise with real-time system development on MCU involving HW & SW
- Experience in Tier 1 solutions selling and technical support at OEMs
