We are now looking for a team leader with software development expertise for Trading Risk SWD MR calculations capability team within Market and counterparty credit risk service domain. You will build the future platform for market risk management, both by supporting a team of highly skilled software developers but also through your own active contribution as a developer.

Welcome to the Market and counterparty credit risk service domain. We add value by providing Nordea with risk infrastructure for managing and reporting market and counterparty credit risk. As the Leader for Trading Risk SWD MR calculations, you’ll play a valuable role in building up an effective software development team, but also play an active role as a developer in the Market Risk area.

 

What you will be doing

• Managing a team of skilled software developers, including both internal employees and external consultants, located both in Denmark and in Poland
• Leveraging your own skills as software engineer to deliver great products and services to our customers
• Identifing and driving initiatives for capability uplift within the team, including but not limited to competence development, knowledge sharing, deployment and use of relevant standards, frameworks and tools
• Serving as a member of the Market and counterparty credit risk service domain Leadership Team
• Supporting team members in their development and in delivering business value

 

Location
You will be working from Gdansk or Gdynia.

• Skills in coaching team members in the areas of performance, standards and work methods
• Proven technical ability and development experience for large or complex systems
• Good capital markets domain knowledge and preferably experience in the field of market risk
• Understanding of quantitative financial risk
• Senior level developer skills in python

 

Your experience and background

• Experience leading technical solution creation, providing direction & guidance for the team
• Degree in computer science, engineering, financials or similar
• Great leadership, coaching and mentoring skills
• Experience in technologies like Java, Restful API, microservices, Spring, Spring Boot, messaging system Kafka, Docker, orchestration with Kubernetes
