Job Summary
As an HR Manager you will work closely with the Sr. HR Director and lead a team of HR Advisors to deliver a comprehensive HR Service to the business, through the provision of proactive, responsive, and supportive HR operational support, advice and guidance to Managers working across the business.
The HR team's main day-to-day focus is to support line managers in the management of complex employee relations casework and processes for dispute resolutions, covering disciplinaries, grievances, sickness absence management, performance management, workforce planning, restructures, and redundancies. As an HR Manager you'll also support the Sr. HR Director in developing HR strategies, reviewing HR policies and procedures, delivering manager coaching and briefing sessions, development sessions and talent and succession planning, providing HR and workforce related information, data, reports and analysis to the senior leadership team, and much more!
The role will ideally suit an individual who has already obtained a reasonable level of "all-around" HR Generalist and relevant professional business experience. Must be self-motivated and be able to work in a fast-moving, demanding environment. This position would suit applicants who have had previous experience in a large commercial, government services business or major Project with structured HR/Business Administration processes and policies.
The successful candidate will play a key role in the organization by offering guidance on the full life cycle of HR Administration and Staffing with best practices while facilitating a positive relationship between personnel and senior management. As part of a Senior HR Leadership team, they will support and action direction to KBR team personnel within UABOS.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and administer human resource programs, policies, processes, and procedures designed to attract, retain, and reward employees globally in alignment with overall business strategy.
- Manages the delivery of functional objectives by providing leadership and direction to team members.
- Participates in the development of functional strategy and may be responsible for global processes and procedures.
- Provide KPI’s reports on ER/HR case management data and trends.
- Handling of high-profile HR cases and/or HR change management interventions across each Directorate.
- Participate in and facilitate meetings with the Directorate Management Team.
- Coordinate and lead Appeals panel sessions, offering guidance as needed.
- Understand grievance policy through CBA and union representative
- Provide support to the employee performance expectations and corrective action process working with Senior HR and the applicable staff Management team(s) where required.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a Business/Administration area including Human Resources or related professional studies.
- Minimum of 9 years of experience in Human Resources or a related professional discipline. Candidates with 13+ years of experience and additional certifications will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Working knowledge and familiarity of local hiring processes, including resource management, documentation, and regulations/compliance requirements.
- Proven experience in supporting successful change management initiatives and restructuring within a multi-disciplined service delivery organization.
- Thorough and current familiarity with employment legislation, with a demonstrated ability to apply it effectively in practical contexts.
- Experience in HR policies and procedures, with an understanding of HR best practices, current regulations, and compliance. Additional experience in staffing processes and tools for relevancy.
- Knowledge and understanding of Unionized Workforces / foreign national employees.
- Travel required between 4 sites within the program (Spain and Turkey)
- Must be able to obtain a CAC card, country clearance and work visa
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated proficiency in IT skills, encompassing fluency in MS Office suites, HR Information Systems, and HR Management tools such as Workday, SharePoint, CostPoint/Deltek, ADP, AS400, SAGE.
- Strong organizational and communication skills together with leadership capabilities to ensure targets are met
